Part-band, part-DJ, part-music machine, Soulwax / 2ManyDJs / Radio Soulwax are impossible to nail down…. as one person puts in their upcoming DVD: I’m still confused as to what they’re called!
Part of the Weekend Never Dies is the DVD of Soulwax’s tour and Do Tank have been working with Soulwax’s management on a number of creative digital marketing projects to promote the tour and DVD. Through a mixture of online activities ranging from re-skinning their myspace page to updating the “official” website at soulwax.com with interactive video, we built an opt-in database and increased the existing contact list to over 87,000 contacts.
A combination of Email shots and myspace bulletins help drive 20,000 sales of the DVD within the first weeks of it’s release.
Soulwax’s fans are a mixed, outspoken and digitally literate bunch, often posting video clips taken with mobile phones on their pages. With this in mind we have now started to lay the foundations for a fan-community site with more exciting and innovative social media marketing projects planned for next year.Interactive Video / Marketing / Rich Media / Sound and Music / Websites
