Good news for all fans of Mulberry (and we know there are a lot of you out there) – there is a brand new version of Mulberry’s iPhone and iPad app available in the Apple App Store. We’ve improved product browsing, added a search, integrated the wishlist from mulberry.com into the app and added Twitter sharing as well as a host of other tweaks and improvements. We’re really proud of it, and hope you like it too.

Papa Sangre wins Develop award

We’re delighted to report that Papa Sangre has won the prestigious Develop award for “Audio Accomplishment”. We were lucky enough to be at the ceremony and pick up the award on behalf of Somethin Else, 4ip, Coney, Nick Ryan and the rest of the very talented team.

Wigmore Hall – The Sound House

We are delighted to announce that our project with the renowned Wigmore Hall “The Sound House” is now live!

The Sound House is the culmination of a six month programme of work led by Wigmore Hall Learning. Inspired by the history, artists, audience and daily life at Wigmore Hall, this interactive site aims to capture the essence of the concert hall and explore the spaces and sounds of the building. The project has been led by Sound Artist Duncan Chapman, supported by Rus Pearson at Wigmore Hall and involved young people from Pimlico Academy. The site will be used to introduce participants on Wigmore Hall’s future schools’ projects and those attending concerts to Wigmore Hall as a venue. The Learning team are looking at developing an accompanying resource to help teachers use it in the classroom to explore sound and space.

Radio Soulwax

We’ve been working closely with 2ManyDJs for 2 and a half years and now is the time to unveil the brand new “Radio Soulwax” project.

We’re really proud to announce the launch of the brand new 2ManyDJs project “Radio Soulwax”. At the core of the project is an online radio station that broadcasts a series of 1 hour mixes with accompanying video. Why an internet radio station you may ask, David Dewaele from the band sums it up – “To have 200 tracks in an hour, to clear them, it’s impossible,” he said. “So by doing it with a radio license we bypass that problem and it’s free for everyone.”

Radio Soulwax is a fully cross-platform project, with a website, a Facebook app and native mobile apps for iPhone, iPad and Android. The website is a real mashup, taking official and fan feeds from Flickr, YouTube and Vimeo and mixing them all together into widgets that can be taken and shared on other sites.

The iPhone, iPad and Android apps all revolve around the core of Radio Soulwax and allow the videos to be streamed from the internet. David and Stef from 2ManyDJs are big fans of Apple so wanted to give iPhone and iPad users something more, so we’ve built in a downloading mechanism so that shows can be downloaded and played offline.

Papa Sangre updates

Papa Sangre, the project we developed with the wonderful Somethin’ Else continues to receive amazing critical acclaim, with a nomination for a Develop award and a featured spot at the E3 international games festival among the most recent high-lights.

Papa is nominated for an “Audio Accomplishment” award at the Develop awards, a prestigious award ceremony for the computer games industry. The award ceremony is on 20th July in Brighton, so we’ll be heading down to grab some fish and chips and if we’re fortunate a gong.

E3 is probably the biggest computer games conference, and where the big players in the computer games industry announce their latest consoles and games and IndieCade is, in their own words, “Dedicated to bringing together the freshest, most innovative and creative minds and works in independent game design.”. So we’re more that delighted that Papa Sangre is currently being showcased as part of the IndieCade space within E3.

On top of all of that there are plans afoot to take the Papa engine to the next level, so that all of you lovely people out there can take advantage of it. Check out this lovely video for more information:

Colgate “La faute de style” on Facebook

Our latest game for Facebook is now live – “La Faute de Style” a new app we’ve developed with the lovely people at VML for their client Colgate. As you can probably guess from the name it’s aimed at the French market, but due to the wonders of modern technology the app will run in either French or English depending on your Facebook Language setting.

Taking the concept of a girls smile being her best asset as the starting place, players help the female star of the game to get a date by removing unwanted accessories from her and dropping them into the bin.

The Nightjar

Our latest collaboration with the wonderful team at Somethin’ Else is now live in Apple’s App Store.

The Nightjar is the second game to utilise the 3D binaural audio engine we created for Papa Sangre and has been funded by Wrigleys chewing gum brand ’5 Gum’ via their UK advertising company AMV BBDO.

We had a ridiculously short time to turn the project around (around 10 weeks) but AMV BBDO were a dream to work with, giving the whole team a huge amount of creative freedom.

The new game is located in outer space and we were able to enlist the voice talents of Benedict Cumberbatch , an up and coming actor who you might have seen in BBC’s Sherlock and is destined for greatness.

Unfortunately due to licensing issues it is currently only available in the UK and Ireland, but it is already proving to be popular and has been incredibly well received.

NET-A-PORTER What’s New

The NET-A-PORTER iPhone app has been overhauled and has been rebranded as “What’s New” to compliment the iPad’s “Magazine” application. It features a brand new, more engaging, landing screen and massively improved product browsing and purchasing experience. We’re really excited to have had the chance to work closely with NET-A-PORTER again and are really happy with the great feedback the updated app has been getting.
